Sewing has been at the heart of my life for over 25 years. I trained as a Costume Maker and then spent more than two decades teaching Fashion and Textiles in Higher Education. Throughout my career, I have combined a love of fabric, design, and meticulous craftsmanship — and now, with Emily & Dot, I bring that same passion directly into people’s homes.

Every curtain and blind I create is made to measure, hand sewn, and crafted with care. I love helping clients transform their spaces with soft furnishings that are not just functional, but truly beautiful.

Our Story

Launching Emily & Dot has allowed me to take all the skills, knowledge, and creativity I have developed over years of professional practice and use them to make bespoke soft furnishings for real homes. From selecting the perfect fabric to hand sewing the finishing touches, each project is a labour of love.

I work closely with every client to understand their vision, offering guidance and expertise every step of the way — because soft furnishings should be as personal as they are practical.
